Easter chick tutorial


You will need 
Modelling paste 
A small knife
Ball tool 
Veining tool
Edible glue
Cocktail stick
Small rose petal cutter

1: Using the yellow modelling paste knead until smooth and roll into a egg shape.  Apply a little edible glue on top and Insert a cocktail stick through the body. 


2: Using a smaller piece of yellow paste roll another egg shaped piece for the head


3: Shape a small piece of orange paste into a diamond shape for the beak and attach to the face with edible glue.  Use the veining tool to create a opening and fashion a beak.


4: Indent 2 small dots on the top of the beak and using the ball tool indent 2 holes for the eyes.


5: Roll 2 small balls from black paste and insert in the holes.


6: Roll 2 tear drop shapes from Orange paste and flatten slightly.  Use the veining tool to indent toes and creases on the foot. 


7: Attach the head on top of the body and the feet with a little edible glue.


8: Roll out some yellow paste and cut 2 pieces using the small rose petal cutter.


9: Using the veining tool indent 2 small lines on each wing and smooth round with your finger to make the wings. 


10: Attach to the body with a little edible glue.


11: Roll out a thin piece of orange and cut a strip long enough to go around the head.


12: Roll out a strip of pink paste and roll out 2 tiny tear drop shapes from green  paste then flatten out.  Use the veining tool to indent lines to resemble a leaf.


13: Roll the pink strip into a rose bud.


14: Attach onto the head band over the join and finish off with a little pink petal dust to give her rosy cheeks.
