Easter cupcakes

To make these cute cupcakes you will need
Cupcakes ( quantity & flavour of your choice )
Buttercream
Green food colouring
Disposable or parchment Piping bag & grass tip nozzle
Hundreds and thousands

1: Once you're baked your cupcakes add green food colouring to your buttercream to get a nice grass green colour ( I use rainbow dust progel lime green ) make sure the colouring as been mixed well.

2: Pop the grass tip nozzle in your piping bag; and fill the bag ensuring not to over fill the bag.

3: Pipe the buttercream onto your cupcakes place nozzle on the cupcake squeeze and lift so you get little tufts. Continue all over the cupcake until the cake as been completely covered.

4: Sprinkle a pinch of hundreds and thousands over the grass before it crusts over.

To make the chick
You will need
Yellow modelling paste
Orange modelling paste
Black modelling paste for eyes
Cocktail stick
Small tear drop cutter
Rolling pin
Edible glue

1: Knead the yellow modelling paste until it's pliable make 2 balls 1 for the body and another smaller ball for the head.

2: Roll out some yellow paste and cut 2 wings using a tear drop cutter.

3: Using the cocktail stick intend 2 lines on each wing to form shape to the wings.  You can then shape a more pointed tip to the wings with your fingers.

4: Attach the wings to the body with some edible glue.

5:  Use the cocktail stick to indent some eyes wiggle the stick around to make a larger eye socket.  Place the head on the body with edible glue.

6: Roll a tiny piece of the Orange paste into a small sausage shape taper at each end and flatten use the cocktail to crease the middle.

7:  Use the cocktail stick to help place the beak in place.

8:  Roll 2 tiny pieces of black paste into tiny balls and place in the holes made for the eyes.

9: You can finish here, but if you would like to add feet; roll 2 tear drop shapes from the Orange paste.  Flatten and using a sharp knife cut 2 "V" shapes from each foot.  Use edible glue to keep them in place.

10: Cut out some small flowers of your choice and colour to decorate the grass and one for the chick to wear on her head.

11: To finish sit the chick on top of the cupcake and arrange a few flowers in the grass.

For the Lamb you will need
Beige modelling paste
Black modelling paste for the eyes
Stiff peak royal icing
Piping bag ( disposable or parchment )
Cocktail stick.

1: Begin by rolling 4 small balls of paste a bit bigger than a pea. These will be the legs.

2:  Dab a bit of edible glue in the centre of the balls and stick together.  Use the cocktail stick to indent 2 lines to the 2 front legs.

3: To make the body roll a egg shape and place on top of the legs; use your finger to make a indent so the head can sit in it without sliding off.

4: Roll a small egg shape and attach to the body using the tiniest amount of edible glue.

5:  Use the cocktail stick again to indent 2 eyes as you did for the chick and using the tip of the stick indent 2 lines on each eye to make eyelashes.  Roll 2 tiny balls from the black paste for the eyes and indent 2 small holes for the nostrils.

6:  Roll 2 small tear drop shapes for the ears and place on the head.

7: To make the woolly coat pop 2 tablespoons of stiff peak royal icing into a piping bag and snip the very end off.  Pipe small dots randomly over the body making sure there are no gaps.

8: Continue around until the whole body as been covered next pipe some dots onto his head.

9:  Finish by Sitting the lamb on top of the cupcake and decorate with some small flowers.

I finished some with just a few Cadbury mini eggs and added a bow with some royal icing to the cupcake case.

Hope you have as much fun as I did making these ... 😃 Happy Easter x
